Eileen D. Polson, MBA, CHRP

An experienced, highly qualified Human Resources professional, Eileen Polson has developed a wide-ranging portfolio which includes change management, employee relations, recruitment and selection, benefits and pensions, health and safety, training and development, staff communications, policies and procedures.

For the past several years she has served as Director of Human Resources at a organization which supports youth, adults, and seniors in a wide range of employment, entrepreneurial, accommodation and life skills areas. She has also served as a consultant to large and small organizations. In this capacity she spearheaded and implemented a range of change management projects to successfully achieve the merger of two organizations with different cultures, employee relations and compensation practices.

She is an excellent strategic planner who has the practical ability to turn visions into realities. She brings the same resourcefulness to the art of problem resolution, combining it with effective analytical, organizational and time management skills to achieve excellent results. An experienced team leader, she advocates on behalf of staff, involving and motivating them to achieve organizational goals as well as their personal best. Her superior interpersonal skills include excellent communication, presentation, facilitation, coaching and counseling skills.

An engaging presenter, her workshops consistently receive excellent feedback from participants. She serves on the teaching faculty at Wilfrid Laurier University, where she teaches a course on Managing Human Resources in Canada.

For many years she has been an active member of board of the Grand Valley Human Resources Professionals Association (GVHRPA), including a term as President of the Board. She holds an MBA and CHRP, and is working towards a Certificate in Adult Education from Conestoga College
